HOW DO I GET THE CITY FANTOM APP?
- Simply search for "City Fantom" in either the Apple Appstore or the Google Play store.
WHERE CAN I SEE THE FANTOM USER MANUAL?
- Find the User Manual here.
- The Fantom will automatically power on once placed on the charging cradle.
- We recommend allowing for a full charge before using the band after the battery has been fully drained.
- The Fantom always remains on as long as there is enough battery.
- It's not possible to turn the device off.
IS THERE AN AIRPLANE MODE FOR MY FANTOM?
- Due to the low power nature of the Fantom, it doesn't need a special mode for flying. It can be taken onto flights without any issue.
MY FANTOM WON'T CONNECT/PAIR/SYNC.
- Try the steps found on this page.
- From your Android or iOS bluetooth settings, be sure to "unpair" or "forget device".
- On the Fantom, swipe right until you see the "About/Reset" option.
- Double tap to enter, then swipe until you see "Factory Reset".
- Hold down the screen until the device vibrates, then quickly double tap to confirm reset.
- Ensure you are using a good USB cable and wall charger which you know works.
- If unsure try another cable or charger.
- Check the gold contact points on the back of the Fantom.
- Sometimes they can accumulate dirt and no longer make contact.
- If needed wipe the points with a damp tissue.
- Avoid using chemicals or abrasives as this could damage the contact points.
HOW LONG DOES THE FANTOM TAKE TO CHARGE?
- A full charge is around one and a half hours (90 minutes).
- Use the included tool to pull back the small compression pin which holds the strap to the main body of the Fantom.
- It's best done on a flat surface with the screen facing down.
- Once the old strap is off, carefully remove the small pin from the old strap and put it in the new strap.
- Now you can put one side of the pin back into the retainment hole on the Fantom housing.
- With a nail or using the tool, you can compress the pin and slide the other side in place.
- Ensure the strap and pin is secure before wearing the Fantom to prevent the strap coming off and risk loosing the pin.
- If the Fantom App still shows "Updating" then please wait 5 minutes for the update to complete.
- If the screen is still white, or the App doesn't look like it's updating the device, follow the steps below:
- Ensure the Fantom Band is on charge and in close range of the mobile phone.
- Force close and restart the Fantom App.
- From the pairing screen, select DFU XXXX, where XXXX is your Fantom device ID.
- Accept to update the device and wait for completion.
HOW TO DO RECOVER FROM A FAILED FIRMWARE UPDATE?
- Ensure the Fantom Band is on charge and in close range of the mobile phone.
- Force close and restart the Fantom App.
- From the pairing screen, select DFU XXXX, where XXXX is your Fantom device ID.
- Accept to update the device and wait for completion.
CAN I MUTE OR SILENCE THE FANTOM?
- If you don't want to see the live messages or live scoreboard.
- You can swipe right from the watch face and double tap to enable the "No spoilers mode".
- The Fantom Band is IP67 rated, which means its dust tight and water resistant up to 1 meter.
- We do however recommend not using the device in wet conditions as water droplets will cause the touch screen to become less responsive.
